You must have ... a place where you can simply experience and bring forth what you are and what you might be. This is the place of creative incubation.

Description

THE NEXT FIVE YEARS is a two-day seminar. It gives managers and professionals:

  • time and space away from the day-to-day pressures of work and home
  • the chance to review life and career priorities in a structured but relaxed way
  • the opportunity to look ahead, clarify future directions, set new challenges.

To foster an atmosphere of trust, registration is limited to 15 participants.

The format is a mix of short presentations to stimulate thinking, solo exercises to guide reflection and planning, and discussion of themes common to successful professionals and managers. In this way, participants explore key life issues:

  • Where am I, and where do I want to go?
  • Where is my career heading? Where do I want it to head?
  • What talents do I have that I'm not using?
  • What do I still want to achieve?
  • What's working in my life? What's not? What changes would I like to see?
  • What gives my work and life meaning?
  • What are the sources of my happiness, and how can I cultivate them?
  • What options do I have that I'm not currently seeing?
  • What new challenges do I want to set myself?

This isn’t one of those motivational rah-rah workshops that promise a magical overnight transformation. In my experience, it's unrealistic to expect to resolve big issues of life direction and career challenge in just two days.

But undoubtedly two days is long enough to make substantial progress in expanding one's vision, becoming clearer about future directions, and mapping out a way forward.

To those wanting to build on that progress, I offer the option of follow-up seminars or telephone mentoring.
